The Box Liner eLTU 50 Traction is equipped with the patented traction rear. Among other things, this allows for optimised positioning of 20' containers flush at the rear with increased fifth-wheel pressure. This makes it virtually possible to achieve the fifth-wheel loads chassis with a middle extension.

In contrast to the eLTU50, the eLTU55 is also equipped with a manual front extension.

This robust vehicle can be used for the following transport variants: 2 x 20' (with folding lock), 20' centred – also for tank containers - and 40'. With a special permit, the chassis may also carry 45' containers without front extension. Optionally, the eLTU 50 Traction can also transport 30' containers as well as 45' containers with a long tunnel with front extension (eLTU55) and without a special permit being required. In terms of the load distribution, the chassis is designed both for two-axle and three-axle tractor units.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Position for 20’ flush with the rear

This position ensures improved load distribution and easy loading and unloading of the 20‘ container on the ramp.

Position for 45’

As an option, 45‘ EC containers can be transported with an extended front extension without special permit. (In many countries, a special permit is required for all 45' containers with a B dimension of 12,775 mm)

Front extension pushed in

The front extension turns the eLTU50 into an eLTU55 and allows the transport of 45‘ containers with a long tunnel without a special permit. Manual operation is facilitated by a spring-loaded shaft.

User-friendly

Pictograms make it easier for the operator to adjust the chassis correctly for transporting any container.

Reliable pneumatic motor

A high-torque pneumatic motor (optional) with a high start torque ensures uniform extension of the 2,600 mm-long rear extension. A hand crank is also available as an option.

Easy connection

The light and air connections are easily accessible and installed in a protected location. Optional connection for refrigerated containers to the GenSet.

Generator set

A generator set enables temperature-controlled transport of refrigerated containers (optionally from Genmark, Carrier or Thermoking). The generator set is equipped with its own fuel tank to ensure that the cold chain is maintained even during road transport.
